The Spectra® Mini incorporates many well-known features
from Pelco's full-size Spectra III™ dome system into
a cost effective, small form factor. The easy-to-install
dome system can be mounted to the surface of ceilings or
recessed into hard ceilings and suspended tile ceilings.
A high resolution camera transmits video over coaxial cable
or unshielded twisted pair (UTP) wires. Pan/tilt operation
can be performed with Pelco's controllers that transmit D,
P, or CoaxitronR protocols. For non-Pelco controllers, a
translator board can be installed. On-screen programming
allows easy setup of the miniature dome's many features.
When specifying your next installation, the Pelco 700 Series display featuring
DLPTM Digital Light Processing technology helps you design your own view.
Whether implemented as a stand-alone display, as an alternative to CRT
monitors or nested together to create a state-of-the-art video wall, the
possibilities are virtually limitless. When you consider that a single
50-inch display offers the equivalent viewing area of 26, nine-inch CRT
monitors, yet consumes 80-percent less energy, requires only 20-percent
of the space and has a usable life that is ten times longer than the monitors
it replaces, the value is clear - the 700 Series redefines the way you
look at video.
This series is a compact, wide dynamic range (WDR), day/night camera. Its
WDR technology provides up to 60 dB of dynamic range and produces superior
images over a wide range of lighting conditions, including extreme backlight
conditions. The camera also uses a removable infrared (IR) cut filter to
switch between color and black-white (B-W) modes as environmental lighting
conditions change. It also provides a dual resolution of 530 TVL (B-W)
and 480 TVL (color).

System 9770/9780
Powerful, High-Density Matrix
System 9770™ and 9780™ are feature-rich, full cross-point,
high-density video matrix switches that allow users to view and control
up to 4,096 cameras and 512 monitors all from a single node - in a footprint
smaller than ever before possible. Reduced space requirements, advances
in component access, heat control, and diagnostics make these new systems
the obvious large-switch choice.
The ES30TI Series combines the power of an advanced thermal imaging device with the precision of an Esprit Positioning System to create a completely integrated, single addressable thermal imaging PTZ system. At the core of the ES30TI is an uncooled, vanadium xide microbolometer, long wave infrared (LWIR) camera. It delivers 320 x 240 thermal video with a pixel size of 38 µm and supports 2X digital zoom.
Spectra IV SE was designed with ease of installation and ease of maintenance in mind. Each dome system consists of three components: a back box, a dome drive, and a lower dome. These three system components are interchangeable with other Spectra IV SE dome systems, making retrofitting and application adjustments simple. Also, dome drives and lower domes can be removed and replaced reducing maintenance time.
The Choice for Professional Security – As your business grows and becomes more diversified, you need a professional digital video recorder (DVR) that can grow with and also stay a step ahead of your business security requirements. Your security application might require more cameras or DVR software that provides even more sophisticated operation and control features. The DX8100 Series digital video recorders (DVRs) bring to market a new and innovative hardware platform that is powered by unparalleled and unique high-performance software. The DX8100 is expandable to meet your future security requirements.

Pelco
is proud to introduce a revolutionary new imaging technology
with its CCC5100 Series SIMD (Single-Instruction, Multiple
Data) Cameras-the first to be designed and optimized specifically
for security applications. With this new multiple-sampling
SIMD imager, these cameras provide outstanding color reproduction
over a wide range of lighting conditions with higher image
quality and significantly better dynamic range than traditional
CCD-based cameras.
A major problem with conventional cameras with extreme lighting variances
is limited dynamic range- the ability to see both light and dark objects
in the same scene. Some environments, such as industrial or warehouse parks,
may rely on sunlight during the day and artificial lighting at night, while
others, such as bank and airport lobbies, may include a combination of
both sunlight and artificial lighting. With the new Pelco 5100 Series,
this is no longer a problem as they are designed to produce the highest
quality images possible under the most demanding lighting conditions.

UTP Solution Saves Mandalay Bay 'Substantial' Amount Versus
Coaxial Cable
Las Vegas Casino Chooses UTP Wire For CCTV System Transmission
MENLO PARK, CA - May 20, 2004
Network Video Technologies (NVT) today announced that Mandalay
Bay Casino in Las Vegas is using NVT's equipment to transmit
video signals from cameras to monitors using unshielded twisted-pair
wire (UTP), delivering high-quality video while simplifying
system installation.
"We wanted to increase the amount of cameras we could use,
while keeping the same size pipeline," explains Brian King,
lead surveillance technician for Mandalay Resort Group. "We
also chose not to use any existing wire so that we could have
full ownership and control over our part of the network."
Mandalay Bay is using Pelco 9760 cameras with six nodes and
a mixture of dedicated VCRs, MUXs and digital video recorders.
Cable runs are from 100 to 2,500 feet.
"Although we mostly use Cat 5 when we can, sometimes the
choices in pairs (4, 25, 50 and 100) force us to use Cat 3 or
multiple 25-pair Cat 5 cable," King reports. These latter
cables cost much less and, as importantly, NVT transmission
equipment works with all of them, eliminating the need to base
cable selection on the transmission system components.
King says the casino saved a "substantial" amount
of money by using UTP wire versus coaxial cable and the picture
quality is excellent.
"For long runs with 25 or more cameras coming from one
unique location, I recommend NVT's UTP solution," King
adds.
In most video transmission applications, coaxial cable is more
difficult to install, resulting in higher labor costs. It is
also less dependable because it is more susceptible to interference.
Conversely, video signals transmitted using NVT's UTP solution
remain noise free while transmitting over longer distances.

Blue Pendant
Code Blue Corporation has partnered with Active Control Technology
Inc. (ACT) to develop and integrate a wireless personal pendant
system into Code Blue's Emergency phones. The new system permits
a user to remotely trigger the Code Blue phone and strobe from
up to 200 feet away with a small hand-held pendant. This enables
security to locate and respond to the signal immediately. The
pendant signal will identify the specific user to security with
links to their file displaying any important medical or security
history of the user. The wireless personal pendant system can
be integrated into existing Code Blue phone systems with the
proper equipment. Because Code Blue phones are powered separately
from the phone line, the audio signal is strong and distinct,
allowing the user to be clearly heard by security personnel.

InterAct 500
Code Blue has also released the InterAct 500 series phone line-powered
indoor or outdoor emergency phones for a cost effective solution
to confined budgets. There are four different versions of the
InterAct 500 series and they offer the same quality and professional
design that customers have come to expect from Code Blue. Please
